DRIFTER (NES)

about

A retro reimagining of a progressive metal track I wrote inspired by bands such as Protest the Hero and Fallujah.
This song was created in 0CC-FamiTracker using the VRC6 soundchip found on the Famicom Disk System. A few games known to have used this chip are Akumajou Densetsu (Castlevania III), Esper Dream 2 and Moryo Senki Madara.

I previously have only made mono mixes as an attempt to retain the authenticity of chip music from the NES era, so this is my first venture into the stereo field within the chiptune genre. Although this approach is less authentic, I believe this makes for a more sonically pleasing listening experience.
